Lemora finds faces, email addresses, phone numbers and card numbers for you, and you choose what to hide. Nothing is uploaded to do it.

    Built for how
    you work.

    Fifty files, one pick

Select a whole folder's worth. If one file is damaged, the rest still finish, and Lemora tells you which one and why.

    Works with Shortcuts

Actions work in Shortcuts and Spotlight, and can run as a Finder Quick Action. Automate the boring parts.

    Right next to the original

Results land beside the file you started with. Originals are never changed or overwritten.

    Keyboard first

⇧⌘E opens the wheel. Arrows or a letter to choose, Return to run, or a number from 1 to 8 to run a slice at once.

    Privacy

    bytes uploaded. Ever.

    No network access at all

Every conversion, OCR scan, translation and summary happens on your Mac. Your files have nowhere else to go.

    No accounts, no tracking

Nothing to sign up for, no analytics, no servers.

Sandboxed by the Mac App Store

Lemora can only open the files you hand it and save in the folders you allow.

    FAQ

    Questions, answered.

    Where are my results saved?

Next to the original, so a file on your Desktop gets its result on your Desktop. The first time you use a folder, macOS asks once whether Lemora may save there. If you'd rather not, results go to Downloads › Lemora.

    How much does it cost?

Lemora is free to download, with every feature unlocked for your first 25 actions. After that, Lemora Pro is a single $24.99 purchase: no subscription, every 1.x update included, and Family Sharing so your household can use it too.

Which Macs does it run on?

macOS 15 or later. Summarize appears on Macs with Apple Intelligence turned on (macOS 26 or later), and Translate on macOS 26 or later; everything else, including Remove Background, OCR and Read Aloud, works on every supported Mac.

⇧⌘E doesn't do anything after installing.

Finder picks up new services when it relaunches. Hold ⌥, right-click Finder in the Dock and choose Relaunch. You can also right-click a file and choose Services › Open in Lemora.

Can it make MP3s, or open MKV and WebM?

Yes. Lemora converts audio to MP3, Ogg and Opus, and opens MKV, WebM, AVI, WMV, Ogg and WMA. It uses a built-in copy of FFmpeg, the open-source media engine, which runs inside Lemora's sandbox and never goes online.

    Can it transcribe recordings?

Yes, on macOS 26 or later. Transcribe turns a recording into text, and Subtitles turns a video's speech into an SRT file. Both run on your Mac with Apple's speech engine; the first time, macOS downloads the speech model for your language, and your audio never leaves your Mac.

Can it translate documents and subtitles?

Yes, on macOS 26 or later. Translate makes a copy of a document or subtitle file in the language you pick, in the same format: Word stays Word, SRT stays SRT, with headings, lists and timings kept. It uses Apple's on-device translation: add languages once in System Settings › General › Language & Region › Translation Languages, and nothing is sent anywhere.

What can it do besides convert?

Each kind of file has its own Tools page. Join several recordings into one, fade music in and out, or make an iPhone ringtone. Have a document read aloud as an audio file. Merge spreadsheets that share a header, or remove duplicate rows. Shift subtitles that run early or late. Lock files in a password-protected ZIP, or check an archive for damage before you rely on it.

Does it open RAR and 7Z archives?

Yes. Lemora extracts RAR, 7Z, ZIP, TAR, GZIP and XZ, and can repack them as ZIP, 7Z or .tar.gz, or as a ZIP locked with a password (AES-256). It can't create RAR files: the RAR licence doesn't allow it.

How faithful is PDF to Word?

Lemora rebuilds each page as a Word document you can edit: headings, lists, tables, columns, pictures, headers and footers, with each piece of text in its own font, size and colour. Scanned pages are read with OCR. When every detail of the look matters, convert to PowerPoint, which keeps each page's look with its text still editable.

Is it safe to open files from strangers?

Lemora treats every file as untrusted: archives can't write outside their folder, oversized "zip bombs" are stopped, and the app runs in Apple's sandbox.

Something isn't working. How do I get help?

Email support@getlemora.com with what you tried and, if you can, the kind of file. A real person reads every message. To restore a purchase on a new Mac, open Settings › General and choose Restore Purchase.
